By far Goa’s most beautiful beach, and arguably India’s, Palolem has been drawing tourists from all over the world for many years now. The stunning natural bay is lined with swaying coconut palms and the atmosphere is laid-back bliss. It’s also very sheltered, making the blue waters safe for swimming. The beach makes the perfect base for your stay in South Goa, with many other beaches for you to explore nearby.
Palolem isn’t nearly as busy as the northern beaches, but it isn’t deserted either - there are lots of fantastic places to eat and drink, yet enough space that you won’t feel crowded. Licensing laws mean bars are required to turn off their music by 10.30pm, with only a few exceptions. At Ciaran’s, we close our bar at 11pm, so our guests aren’t disturbed. However there are places on the beach where you can have a late night if you wish to. Throughout the festive season, Palolem gets busier. Many people come here for Christmas and New Year. At this time the rules regarding music are relaxed a little.
